Learn relaxation and focus techniques with a Tai Chi exercise session in the morning, and get a bonus sunrise view over the bay. Post breakfast visit Ho Chi Minh Complex, this complex comprises the Mausoleum of the nation’s founder Ho Chi Minh (closed on Monday & Friday), the Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts, the One Pillar Pagoda, one of the oldest architectures dating back to the 11th century. It rises on one pillar from the middle of a square lotus pond. Continue the city tour with the Temple of Literature- which is well known as the first university of Vietnam built in 1070. Check out from the hotel and head to the airport to depart for your flight to Hoi An. Upon arrival at Da Nang airport, get transferred to the hotel in Hoi An. Overnight in Hoi An.
My Son Holy Land and Hoi An Ancient Town are the heritage destinations of Vietnam recognized by UNESCO. In the morning leave for My Son Holy Land of the Cham, one of the most important examples of Hindu influence in Southeast Asia. Now mostly in a ruined state, My Son is often compared with other historical temple complexes in Southeast Asia, such as Cambodia's Angkor Wat and Thailand's Ayutthaya. A brief introduction will be given on the history, culture and Hindu influence on the Cham Kingdom. Then visit the remains of the carefully-crafted red brick temples with beautiful monuments and epitaphs. Have lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon walk around the historic streets of Hoi An, filled with Chinese traders’ homes and wooden houses, now reconstructed as restaurants, cafes, shops, and source of display for local artists, craftsmen and tailors. Explore the beautiful 16th century Japanese Bridge. Hoi An is a town with a unique fusion of Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese architecture, and is arguably Vietnam's most tourist-friendly town. Post breakfast, the car and tour guide will pick you up from the hotel and then beings your journey to visit Ba Na Hills – King Mountain, also known as the second DaLat/ Sapa in Central Vietnam, the beautiful weather here is always cool. Visit the most modern cable car system in Southeast Asia, Dream Stream Cable car, and see the panoramic views of Quang Nam - Danang City from high ground. After finishing the cable car, you will visit the French wine cellar, Le Jardin D’amour, Linh Ung pagoda, and Golden Bridge. Comeback Hoi An in the late afternoon. Overnight in Hoi An.
Depart for the airport from your hotel in Hoi An, post breakfast, hop on to a flight to Ho Chi Minh City, and spend the day exploring the lanes at your own pace.
Take the morning city tour of Ho Chi Minh City to visit Independence Palace, also known as the Reunification Palace, it was built at the sight of the former Norodom palace. The Palace is a famous landmark of the city and was designed by the architect Ngo Viet Thu. You will see historic buildings from the French Colonial times such as the Notre Dame Cathedral, the historic Central Post Office, followed by the remarkable site of the War Remnants Museum, that has vast displays from both the Indochina wars. Depart for Cu Chi tunnels, ninety minutes by bus. Go through the short introduction of the tunnels, followed by an introductory video about how the tunnels were constructed, and how the people survived in the harsh conditions during the war. Post the orientation to the tunnels, spend your time exploring the tunnel systems which includes the living areas with kitchens, bedrooms alongside the other martial facilities like storage, weapons factories, field hospitals, and command centres, to help whoever lived inside the tunnels and to meet their basic needs. There were so many secret trap doors and hidden traps inside the maze-like tunnels for protection during the war. Later, special tea and cassava (guerilla’s food during the war) will be served to send you back to the times of the struggle. Take time to relax or enjoy shooting a real gun. Leave the hustle-bustle of Ho Chi Minh City and start your trip to My Tho, a town that lies to the west of the Mekong River. Board the sampan and cruise down the river around the four beautiful islands known as Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix and Tortoise islands. Stop over at the Unicorn Island, walk around country lane and see the orchards in bloom (in season), enjoy tropical fruits, folk songs performed by the local people and visit the fruit plantation. Try your hands on rowing a sampan through the Thoi Son canal and treat yourself to the countryside, visit the family businesses, honey-bee farm, sip on the honey tea and munch through the coconut candies. In the afternoon, head to Tan Thach village, meet the local villagers to experience the local daily life in the Mekong Delta. Return and overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.
