The nearest airport to Virajpet is in Mysore (119 km away) if you want to travel by air. To arrive at Virajpet by railway, you must reach the closest railway station i.e. Valapattanam Railway Station (57 km away) as Virajpet does not have one of its own. From the above-mentioned places, there are bus and cab services easily available. In Virajpet, there are several tourist attractions like St. Anne’s Church which is a beauteous European – Gothic style structure that was built in 1792. The most attractive characteristic of this church is its 180 feet high steeple, which resembles a giant candle. Located 15 km away from Virajpet is a town called Siddapura that has a famous tourist attraction called the Dubare Forest Reserve, which is an elephant camp. Present on the Malethirike hills, the Ayyappa temple is a site dedicated to Lord Shiva and is often visited by many religious devotees.
